In Memory of Dan Dan
the one who i wait for when I open the door when I am home to greet me with a kiss.
the one who would sleep at the foot of my bed everynight.
the one who was with me when I was feeling sick.
the one who would claw at sniff at my door telling me to let him in.
the one who loved me no matter what.
the one who would let me sing and dance with and you didn’t care.
the one who didn’t mind getting way too many pictures taken of yourself.
the one who would beg me for my leftover food at the dinner table.
the one who would wait for me to make space for you to sit with me.
the one who I snuggled with and used as a pillow.
the one who could not stop licking me until I pulled my hands or face away.
Dan Dan you will always been in my heart. I will miss you dearly and it hasn’t even been an hour since finding out and its hard for me to fall asleep without you. I love you so much. You are just a dog but you weren’t you were my best friend and I felt like sometimes you could understand me. You are in a better place now being able to lick and bite at everything you see. I love you and I can’t ever forget you.

I like drinking coffee alone, and reading alone. I like riding the bus alone, and walking home alone. I like eating alone, and listening to music alone. It gives me time to think, and set my mind free.
But when I see a mother with her child, a girl with her lover, or a friend laughing with their best friend, I realize that even though I like being alone, I don’t fancy being lonely. The sky is beautiful, but the people are sad. I just need someone who won’t run away.
